The Egyptian
It was
formed to develop and
improve livestock
availability and
quality, to strengthen
the role of the
marketplace in resolving
supply and demand
issues, and to catalyze
advancement and
understanding through
educational and
technical programs and
seminars, e.g. how to
manage operations
efficiently, or how to
use feed effectively.
The EBPA relies on funding from membership fees
and from organizations
dedicated to further our
goal of making a
positive impact on the
life of individuals
today and also to
prepare for the
challenge of feeding a
growing population.
Over the years the
number of members
increased steadily from
[1993....] in the first
year to presently more
than 15,000 members from
all governorates of
Egypt, consisting of
small farmers with just
a few buffalos, but also
businessmen with large
farms of [500 head and
more ....] heads.
The EBPA is governed by
the Board of Directors
consisting of 9 members
elected by the General
Assembly. They are
actively supported by
its General Manager and
staff in keeping
continuous strong
relations and contact
with all concerned
authorities, like the
Ministry of Agriculture,
but also with
universities, research
institutes, banks, and
other associations,
councils, and
cooperatives on national
and international level.
